CCPT Professional Foundations (Module One)

This one-day module offers a comprehensive overview of the clinical skills needed to engage in child-centred play therapy. Delivered live by our experienced trainer, the course combines theory with hands-on practice in an interactive learning environment. All practical and assessment requirements are completed during the module, making it an ideal starting point for anyone interested in exploring child-centred play therapy.

Payment details

Use of AfterPay or PayPal Pay in 4 is subject to enrolling student’s personal financial circumstances and is the responsibility of the student to fulfil all repayments as indicated by these providers.

Cancellation policy

Please note as places are strictly limited, your enrolment can only be secured once payment has been received.

To be eligible for a refund for fees already paid you must notify us at least 30 days prior to the commencement of the scheduled module. Please note that any refunds may take up to 30 days from date of refund request. A 10% administration fee will be charged for all cancellations.

If you are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, you are able to defer to a future date. Failure to then attend the rescheduled date will result in an additional fee to enrol further.

CCPT Professional Foundations provides the opportunity for you to learn the basics of Child Centred Play Therapy through a full one-day online workshop.

All content, resources, practices and assessments will be presented and conducted within the one-day workshop. The workshop will run from 8:30am to 4pm (QLD time). During the checkout process you will be asked to select a workshop date. Spaces are capped so please enrol early to avoid missing out on your preferred date.

Zoom links will be sent around 1 week prior to the workshop.

A certificate of participation will be issued the day after completing the online workshop.

Kylie Ellison – CEO/Clinical Supervisor/Trainer

Kylie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with ACA and PACFA and Play Therapist Supervisor who has been working with children, young people and families in the human services field for the past 21 years. Kylie commenced her career working alongside mental health practitioners in adult mental health, before moving into the area of child protection.

In 2016, Kylie discovered a passion for Child Centered Play Therapy as a way of working alongside children and their parents/ carers. Subsequently, Kylie established her own private practice, an organisation committed to supporting children to work through difficult feelings and experiences through the provision of Child Centred Play Therapy services.

In 2021 along her private practice, Kylie founded and developed play therapy training, to offer a professional training program and provide a pathway to registration as a play therapist for professionals in Australia. Today Kylie Ellison Therapy & Training operates in the bayside region of Brisbane providing play therapy, supervision and training both in clinic and online.

Kylie is passionate about creating a community of play therapy practitioners that fosters access to training and therapy services along with advocacy for play therapy in both the community and professional arenas.

Kylie is proud Mum to Chelsea and Jake, and to her favourite fur-baby Molly.
