Advanced Certificate in Child-Centred Play Therapy Studies

The Advanced Certificate in Child-Centred Play Therapy Studies equips those with a relevant undergraduate degree to obtain further training in the area of child centred play therapy in order to apply this knowledge and skill to clinical practice. Our vision for providing child centred play therapy training in our local communities is to ensure practitioners are equipped to provide quality play therapy services to children across Australia.

Module One CCPT Professional Foundations must be completed before beginning the Advanced Certificate program.

Payment Options
    • Upfront Payment – A 5% discount available for upfront payment of the advanced certificate cost of $7,996.
    • 4 Equal Installments – You can opt to pay in four installments of $1,999 due prior to each workshop.
    • Payment Plan – 9 month payment plans are available for the clinical program cost of $7,996 (fees and charges apply)

Qualifications

Upon completion of all five workshops, graduates will receive an Advanced Certificate in Play Therapy Studies totalling 224 hours of Clinical Training including 103 contact hours and 121 non-contact hours as well as placement hours and group supervision hours.

Kylie Ellison Therapy & Training’s Advanced Certificate of Play Therapy Studies is recognised by the Play Therapy Practitioners Association (PTPA). Completed training hours are a pathway to gain registration with PTPA as a Registered Play Therapist.

Kylie Ellison Therapy & Training cannot guarantee that completing this advanced certificate will result in graduates meeting all other requirements for registration with the association. It is your responsibility if you are wishing to become a registered play therapist to ensure you meet all eligibility criteria and requirements set out by your chosen registration body (i.e., APTA, APPTA, PTPA).

Cancellation Policy

Please note as places for our workshops are strictly limited, your enrolment can only be secured once payment has been received.

To be eligible for a refund for fees already paid you must notify us at least 14 days prior to the commencement of the scheduled workshop. Please note that eligible refunds may take up to 30 days from date of refund request and will incur a 10% administration fee. No refunds will be given if you fail to attend a workshop without prior notice as above. Workshop deferral is available only at the discretion of the CEO in extenuating circumstances. Deferrals must be within six months of original workshop commencement. No refund will be given in you fail to attend or reschedule any workshop.

Kylie Ellison – CEO/Clinical Supervisor/Trainer

Kylie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with ACA and PACFA and Play Therapist Supervisor who has been working with children, young people and families in the human services field for the past 21 years. Kylie commenced her career working alongside mental health practitioners in adult mental health, before moving into the area of child protection.

Kylie commenced her career working alongside mental health practitioners in adult mental health, before moving into the area of child protection and disabilities.

In 2016, Kylie discovered a passion for Child Centered Play Therapy as a way of working alongside children and their parents/ carers. Subsequently, Kylie established her own private practice, an organisation committed to supporting children to work through difficult feelings and experiences through the provision of Child Centred Play Therapy services.

In 2021 along her private practice, Kylie founded and developed play therapy training, to offer a professional training program and provide a pathway to registration as a play therapist for professionals in Australia. Today Kylie Ellison Therapy & Training operates in the bayside region of Brisbane providing play therapy, supervision and training both in clinic and online.

Kylie is passionate about creating a community of play therapy practitioners that fosters access to training and therapy services along with advocacy for play therapy in both the community and professional arenas.

Kylie is proud Mum to Chelsea and Jake, and to her favourite fur-baby Molly.
