Filial Facilitator Module

Our Filial Facilitator Module is designed for Practitioners interested in adding this skill set to their practice. This three-day workshop will aim to upskill practicing Child Centred Play Therapy practitioners by extending their knowledge of CCPT to educating and supporting parents and carers in the principles of CCPT to enhance parent/ carer and child attachment through play.

The program will run from 8:30am to 5pm each day.

Pre-requisite:

Must have previously completed a minimum of 150 hours of CCPT clinical training.

Payment details:

Use of AfterPay is subject to enrolling student’s personal financial circumstances and is the responsibility of the student to fulfill all repayments as indicated by these providers.

Please note all registered payments for each module are required one month prior to the date of each workshop– enrolment within one month of the workshop will be at the discretion of KETT.

Cancellation policy

Please note as places for our workshops are strictly limited, your enrolment can only be secured once payment has been received- either via credit card, bank transfer, or AfterPay.

To be eligible for a refund for fees already paid you must notify us at least 30 days from the commencement of the scheduled workshop.

Please note that any refunds may take up to 30 days from date of refund request. A 10% administration fee will be charged for all cancellations.

The workshop will aim to cover the following content:

Revision of the theory and methodology of Child Centred Play Therapy
Revision of theory and application of attachment theory to therapeutic contexts
Literature review of history of the origins of Filial Therapy
Key Objectives including the neuroscience behind the approach
Key concepts and components of delivering Filial Programs
Overview, demonstration and practice of each of the 10-session model of the filial program
Extensions of Filial- including considerations for other client populations

Each workshop will offer an experiential experience of learning through presentations, demonstrations and interactive role plays through face-to-face learning.

Kylie Ellison – CEO/Clinical Supervisor/Trainer

Kylie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with ACA and PACFA and Play Therapist Supervisor who has been working with children, young people and families in the human services field for the past 21 years. Kylie commenced her career working alongside mental health practitioners in adult mental health, before moving into the area of child protection.

In 2016, Kylie discovered a passion for Child Centered Play Therapy as a way of working alongside children and their parents/ carers. Subsequently, Kylie established her own private practice, an organisation committed to supporting children to work through difficult feelings and experiences through the provision of Child Centred Play Therapy services.

In 2021 along her private practice, Kylie founded and developed play therapy training, to offer a professional training program and provide a pathway to registration as a play therapist for professionals in Australia. Today Kylie Ellison Therapy & Training operates in the bayside region of Brisbane providing play therapy, supervision and training both in clinic and online.

Kylie is passionate about creating a community of play therapy practitioners that fosters access to training and therapy services along with advocacy for play therapy in both the community and professional arenas.

Kylie is proud Mum to Chelsea and Jake, and to her favourite fur-baby Molly.
