Filial Facilitator Workshop

Our Filial Facilitator Program is designed for Practitioners interested in adding this skill set to their practice. This three-day workshop will aim to upskill practicing Child Centred Play Therapy practitioners by extending their knowledge of CCPT to educating and supporting parents and carers in the principles of CCPT to enhance parent/ carer and child attachment through play.

The program will run from 8:30am to 4:30pm each day. Attendance is required in person at the location specified.

The workshop will aim to cover the following content:

  • Revision of the theory and methodology of Child Centred Play Therapy
  • Revision of theory and application of attachment theory to therapeutic contexts
  • Literature review of history of the origins of Filial Therapy
  • Key Objectives including the neuroscience behind the approach
  • Key concepts and components of delivering Filial Programs
  • Overview, demonstration and practice of each of the 10-session model of the filial program
  • Extensions of Filial- including considerations for other client populations

Each workshop will offer an experiential experience of learning through presentations, demonstrations and interactive role plays through face-to-face learning.
